World Oceans Day

Why celebrate World Oceans Day?

A healthy world ocean is critical to our survival. Every year, World Oceans Day provides a unique opportunity to honor, help protect, and conserve the world’s oceans. Oceans are very important:

  • They generate most of the oxygen we breathe
  • They help feed us
  • They regulate our climate
  • They clean the water we drink
  • They offer a pharmacopoeia of medicines
  • They provide limitless inspiration!

When natural scenery meets talented models, absolute beauty pours out. Virginia Treat of Treats Photography and her team of creatives conducted a nature conservation initiative with a series of photo shoots throughout 2016. Virginia utilized a variety of images and produced a photo book, calendars, prints and more. The book contains photographs combining nature with high fashion and the process. 100% of the proceeds will benefit a variety of nature conservation facilities. These include Craters of the Moon Natural History Association (Craters of the Moon National Monument & Preserve), The Idaho Foundation For Parks and Lands, Aquarium of Boise, and The Peregrine Fund - The World Center for Birds of Prey
