We're proud to say that our facility houses over 250 species of animals and marine life. We encourage the community to visit the Aquarium of Boise to help raise awareness of the benefits conservation provides. Come see our Reptiles on display in their newly expanded exhibit!

Shark & Puffer Exhibit

  • White Spotted Bamboo Shark

This exhibit holds 17,000 gallons of seawater. We have a coral refugium for the exhibit, which provides another level of biological filtration to the health of the exhibit.

  • White Spotted Bamboo Sharks
  • Coral Grouper

Get up close and personal to these magnificent creatures in our Ray Pool!

The chameleons and lizards can be found up in the tree canopy at the top of the exhibits. The exhibits feature a variety of reptile species, which include geckos and snakes.

This exhibit highlights a variety of freshwater fish from South America.
Amazing Angels
  • Over 35 species of reef and marine life

Our 1700 gallon tropical reef exhibit that allows for feeding and petting of fish from around the Tropical Pacific Ocean.
Rainforest Exhibit
  • Pacman Frog
  • Tokay Gecko
  • Tailless Whip Scorpion
  • Crested Geckos

Enjoy a view some creatures straight from the rainforest! Including frogs, geckos, and a unique scorpion.
Shark Nursery
  • Bamboo Shark Eggs

    The bamboo shark eggs come from a breeding pair of sharks in the Shark and Puffer exhibit. It takes approximately 4 months for the bamboo shark to develop from embryo into a baby shark. We collect the eggs weekly and each egg is in a different stage of development.
    Bird Aviary
    • Yellow-bibbed Lory
    • Rainbow Lorikeet

    Come into our bird aviary and feed these playful, curious birds right from your hands. This new exhibit is rapidly becoming a favorite for the whole family.
    Tide Pools
    • Sea Urchins
    • Fish

    • Hermit Crabs

    Children enjoy searching the tide pools for sea urchins, sea stars, and fish.
    Broken Boat
    • Koi
    • Goldfish

    Koi and goldfish are featured in the broken boat exhibit.
